I am Lina Marcela Córdoba, an Afro-Colombian lawyer holding an LL.M. with specializations in Human Rights, International Law, and Critical Race Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I have over six years of professional experience in both the public and private sectors, leading and contributing to interdisciplinary projects on human rights, racial justice, and historical memory. I have coordinated institutional processes such as the Ethnic Approach Area for Black, Afro-Colombian, Raizal, and Palenquero communities at the National Center for Historical Memory and led the Strategic Litigation Area of the Observatory on Racial Discrimination in Colombia. I also served as a Fellow at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (REDESCA) and as a Legal Research Assistant at UCLA’s Promise Institute for Human Rights.
