María Paula is a lawyer and political scientist from Universidad de los Andes, with a Master’s degree in Administrative Law from Universidad del Rosario. She is a Fulbright-Colciencias scholar and a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Washington (UW), Seattle. Between 2015 and 2019 she was a researcher in the Transparency and Privacy line at Dejusticia. She was also a legal and public policy intern at the Open Technology Institute (OTI) of the New America organization. She currently works as a research assistant at the UW Tech Policy Lab and as a lecturer for the Specialization in Administrative Law at Universidad del Rosario, Specialization in Fintech Law at Universidad del Rosario and the Master in Innovation in Digital Law and Legal Tech at the Universidad Externado de Colombia. She is also a member of the editorial team of the Washington Journal of Law, Technology & Arts.
