We work to promote the rights of women and the LGBTI population. Our work has addressed the rights of same-sex couples, sexual and reproductive rights of women, and has focused\u00a0on the political participation and push states to guarantee the rights of women and individuals of diverse sexual orientations who have been victims of armed conflict.<\/p>\n
We also promote the debate on the national health care system in Colombia and push for a gender focus in drug and prison policies.<\/p>\n
We advocate for equality for indigenous communities and Afro-descendants and for their increased representation and participation. We participate in the design, support and strengthening of mechanisms of participation and prior consultation related to natural resources and extractive industries. We also follow up on court judgments that affect these populations and push for affirmative action especially in labor and education.<\/p>\n
While our work is rooted in Colombia-based work, we have pursed research, litigation and advocacy throughout Latin America and in other regions of the Global South, and we have developed networks and forums for experience sharing with indigenous and ethnically differentiated communities across the Global South.<\/p>\n
he Sixth Monitoring Report of Resolution 1325 is a monitoring and implementation instrument, produced by Coalition 1325 since 2011. This report becomes important in the framework of the implementation of the Final Agreement between the Colombian Government and the FARC-EP, It follows up on Resolution 1325 and provides tools to assess the application of the gender approach and the participation of women in the implementation of the Agreement.<\/p>\n
This book raises some legal reflections on the importance of professional secrecy by health professionals in the cases of women who come to health centers looking for help after having terminated their pregnancy clandestinely, endangering their health and even their life. <\/p>\n

The Constitutional Court is about to end the legal struggle that Jonh Jak Becerra undertook six years ago, after being a victim of racial discrimination at work. Dejusticia and Cimarr\u00f3n called for the protection of the rights to equality, non-discrimination, decent work and due process.<\/p>\n
Regarding the legal action that 1,770 peasants filed to be included in the census, the court ordered the Government to define the concept of peasant, to include this population in the census, and to advance public policies that ensure their material equality.<\/p>\n
The United States Supreme Court will hear the case of a same-sex couple in Colorado who was denied a cake for their wedding by a pastry chef claiming religious (specifically Christian) objections. Its education program is the\u00a0Incubator for Afro-Colombian Lawyers for Human Rights and Against Discrimination. Through this program, ODR facilitates access to courses, workshops, masters\u2019 programs for its participants.
