{"id":20557,"date":"2015-09-24T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-09-24T05:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dejusticia.org\/two-dejusticia-researchers-named-among-best-leaders-of-2015-by-semana\/"},"modified":"2017-02-21T16:28:47","modified_gmt":"2017-02-21T21:28:47","slug":"two-dejusticia-researchers-named-among-best-leaders-of-2015-by-semana","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/develop.dejusticia.org\/en\/two-dejusticia-researchers-named-among-best-leaders-of-2015-by-semana\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Dejusticia Researchers Named among Best Leaders of 2015 by Semana"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dos investigadores de Dejusticia han sido elegidos por Semana como parte del destacado grupo de 20 l&iacute;deres que la revista elige anualmente desde hace 5 a&ntilde;os.<\/p>\n<p>C&eacute;sar Rodr&iacute;guez Garavito, quien recientemente asumi&oacute; la&nbsp;direcci&oacute;n ejecutiva de Dejusticia, y Mauricio Albarrac&iacute;n, nuevo coordinador del area de litigio, fueron reconocidos por su trabajo realizado en pro de los derechos de las comunidades afrodescendientes e ind&iacute;genas y la comunidad LBGTI, respectivamente.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/ee2a7f_a0284b3eb3f2479893108305519d8b73.jpg_srb_p_570_428_75_22_0.50_1.20_0.00_jpg_srb\" alt=\"\" width=\"470\" height=\"352\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Durante la ceremonia de premiaci&oacute;n, que tuvo lugar en el Club el Nogal, Alejandro Santos, director de la revista, y &Aacute;lvaro Forero de la Fundaci&oacute;n Liderazgo y Democracia explicaron los inicios del premio en al a&ntilde;o 2010.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El premio empez&oacute; justamente por el escaso liderazo estatal existente &ldquo;porque a menor liderazgo p&uacute;blico es menor la habilidad de un pa&iacute;s para entenderse&rdquo;, seg&uacute;n Forero, y porque a la sociedad le hacen falta l&iacute;deres que puedan abrir nuevos caminos para el cambio social.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Muchos de los l&iacute;deres galardonados resultaron controversiales o incomprendidos en un comienzo. Nadaron contra la corriente y no se aminalaron a pesar de la oposici&oacute;n y el rechazo. &ldquo;Tal vez por eso el l&iacute;der que recibe aplausos desde el principio, no es un verdadero l&iacute;der&rdquo;, precis&oacute; Forero, &ldquo;porque el liderazgo tiene que ver m&aacute;s con el servicio que con el &eacute;xito&rdquo;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/ee2a7f_bd17414c7ee84ae897da33589a3430c0.jpg_srb_p_570_428_75_22_0.50_1.20_0.00_jpg_srb\" alt=\"\" width=\"470\" height=\"352\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Mauricio Albarrac&iacute;n, abogado de la UIS y m&aacute;gister en Estudios Internacionales Legales de la American University, fue elegido como uno de los 20 l&iacute;deres m&aacute;s destacados del 2015 por impulsar el reconocimiento pleno de los derechos de la comunidad LBGTI en Colombia por v&iacute;a de Colombia Diversa, donde ejerci&oacute; el cargo de director ejecutivo.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;La diversidad puede resarcir valores democr&aacute;ticos que Colombia necesita&nbsp;para que todos los colombianos nos encontremos en la diferencia&rdquo;, asegur&oacute;, &ldquo;y desde la diversidad podamos crear el pa&iacute;s que queremos.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Por su parte, C&eacute;sar Rodr&iacute;guez Garavito, abogado de la Universidad de los Andes y Ph.D en Sociolog&iacute;a de la Universidad de Wisconsin-Madison, fue premiado por impulsar la equidad en Colombia usando herramientas como el litigio estrat&eacute;gico y las comunicaciones en temas relativos a la discriminaci&oacute;n y la exclusion de distintas comunidades: &#8220;He tenido la fortuna de llevar&nbsp;litigios que se han&nbsp;ganado a favor de personas discriminadas por un tema tan arbitrario como el color de la&nbsp;piel&#8221;, asegur&oacute;.<\/p>\n<p>Tambi&eacute;n hicieron parte del grupo de 20 l&iacute;deres personalidades como&nbsp;el ministro de salud y protecci&oacute;n social,&nbsp;Alejandro Gaviria; Mar&iacute;a Roa Borja, creadora del Sindicato Uni&oacute;n de Trabajadoras Dom&eacute;sticas; Jaime Abello Banfi, director de la FNPI; Eduardo Posada, profesor de la Universidad Nacional; la artista Doris Salcedo, y el l&iacute;der comunitario Germ&aacute;n Graciano, por defender la neutralidad de la Comunidad de Paz de San Jos&eacute; de Apartad&oacute;.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img
