La Secci\u00f3n Primera del Consejo de Estado deneg\u00f3 la solicitud de suspensi\u00f3n provisional del Decreto 1227 de 2015 (Decreto Trans) presentada por la Procuradur\u00eda General de la Naci\u00f3n. El decreto, que estableci\u00f3 un procedimiento f\u00e1cil y r\u00e1pido para la correcci\u00f3n del componente sexo del registro civil, fue demandado por el Ministerio P\u00fablico en d\u00edas pasados por, supuestamente, desconocer lo establecido en la Constituci\u00f3n Pol\u00edtica y la ley.<\/p>\n

De acuerdo con el Consejo de Estado, los argumentos ofrecidos por el Ministerio P\u00fablico no deb\u00edan acogerse, pues el decreto reglamenta el tr\u00e1mite de correcci\u00f3n de conformidad con las normas superiores. Se espera que en los pr\u00f3ximos meses, la alta corte decida de manera definitiva si el decreto debe mantenerse vigente o debe ser anulado.<\/p>\n

Dejusticia, junto con Aquelarre Trans, Colombia Diversa y Paiis de Uniandes presentaron una intervenci\u00f3n en este proceso, en la cual se defendi\u00f3 la constitucionalidad y legalidad del Decreto 1227 de 2015, pues este tan solo hace operativo un tr\u00e1mite establecido en el Estatuto del Registro Civil de las Personas.<\/p>\n
