El art\u00edculo analiza las razones del auge de la llamada justicia informal y comunitaria en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os en Colombia y Am\u00e9rica Latina. Igualmente muestra las potencialidades democr\u00e1ticas de esas formas de justicia ?como son su car\u00e1cter participativo y consensual, que favorecen la paz y la democracia- pero tambi\u00e9n sus riesgos antidemoc\u00e1ticos, como la canalizaci\u00f3n de las demandas sociales. Por ello propone superar una aceptaci\u00f3n ingenua y total de esas justicias y dise\u00f1ar estrategias que deliberadamente fortalezcan sus potencialidades democr\u00e1ticas y minimicen sus riesgos. This article analyzes the reasons for the boom in informal justice in recent years within Colombia and Latin America. It shows the democratic potential of informal justice because of their participatory character that favors peace and democracy. It also examines their antidemocratic risks because they channel social demands. The article proposes to surpass an ingenuous and total acceptance of these justices and to design strategies that that deliberately fortify their democratic potential and minimize the risk.
