Sus respuestas no son largas, no se va \u201cpor las ramas\u201d. Es concreto y preciso. Cuando cierra una idea llena de conceptos densos y ejemplos que van desde el R\u00edo Grande hasta la Patagonia hace una pausa, mira fijo y espera la pr\u00f3xima pregunta. La entrevista recorre \u2013intenta tocar la mayor cantidad de dimensiones posibles\u2013 los art\u00edculos publicados en el reciente libro El derecho en Am\u00e9rica Latina. Un mapa para el pensamiento jur\u00eddico del siglo XXI. El trabajo, compilado por este abogado colombiano y doctor en Sociolog\u00eda por la Universidad de Wisconsin-Madison, discute fuertemente la subordinaci\u00f3n de la producci\u00f3n y las disciplinas jur\u00eddicas de nuestra regi\u00f3n a la visi\u00f3n dominante en Europa y Estados Unidos. Es desde esta mirada subalterna que investigadores del derecho de diversos pa\u00edses de Sudam\u00e9rica proponen una lectura cr\u00edtica de la pr\u00e1ctica jur\u00eddica, en la que se combina un an\u00e1lisis sociojur\u00eddico con un detenido trabajo de campo sobre las experiencias m\u00e1s conflictivas de las \u201czonas sin ley\u201d de Am\u00e9rica latina.<\/p>\n<p>Rodr\u00edguez Garavito tiene una prol\u00edfica formaci\u00f3n acad\u00e9mica: adem\u00e1s de su doctorado en Wisconsin, realiz\u00f3 maestr\u00edas en Derecho y Sociedad (Universidad de Nueva York), Sociolog\u00eda (Universidad de Wisconsin-Madison) y Filosof\u00eda (Universidad Nacional de Colombia). Es fundador y director del Programa de Justicia Global y Derechos Humanos de la Universidad de los Andes, Colombia, donde imparte clases como Profesor Asociado.
