The 15th International Human Rights Colloquium invites members of non-governmental organizations, activists from different movements, and agents of social transformation for a collective reflection on our role in the current and defiant global context, which has severely threatened rights and freedoms. In addition to facilitating the sharing of how we have resisted setbacks throughout the world, the 15th Colloquium also seeks to serve as a space to rethink the strategies adopted by the human rights movement and expand our alliances to face the challenges imposed by this conservative wave.The 15th Colloquium is organized by Forum Asia (Thailand), the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria (South Africa), Dejusticia (Colombia), and Conectas Human Rights (Brazil). It will be held in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.<\/p>\n
Who can attend?<\/strong> Financial support<\/strong> In order to enable the full participation of parents and caretakers during the Colloquium, especially of women who would otherwise be impeded from attending the event, childcare services will be provided upon request by the participant and subject to availability.<\/p>\n Debate tracks<\/strong><\/p>\n 1. The global context and its impact on rights and freedoms Discussions on each of the above issues will be accompanied by concrete examples of Global South organizations and movements that demonstrate how these challenges are being overcome. \nApplicants from Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe, particularly with experience in human rights, specifically in relation to the theme of the 15th Colloquium are especially encouraged to apply. Applications from activists and members of other social transformation groups and movements are also welcome.<\/p>\n
\nApplicants can request full or partial financial support through the application form. The decision whether support can be granted or not will be taken after the Selection Committee analysis.<\/p>\n
