In general, we emphasize the political and legal importance of this draft statutory law. We also propose that Congress&#8217; work in its discussion and approval be guided by four criteria: transformation, clarification, simplification and normative adequacy. And we call attention to include or adjust some parts of the project to strengthen the rights of victims, provide legal security to the JEP rules and give weight to the justice system without unjustified distinctions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On September 11, Rodrigo Uprimny participated in the public hearing convened by the joint commissions of the Senate of the Republic and the House of Representatives on the draft statutory law governing the administration of the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP).
