In support<br \/>\nof the six organizations that have been designated as \u201cterrorist groups\u201d under Israel\u2019s<br \/>\nanti-terrorism law, we call for the Israeli government to immediately reverse its decision and<br \/>\nremove them from the list of terrorist organizations.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>See the complete statement<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/develop.dejusticia.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/ISRAEL-INCLO-final-endorsements-22-8-1.pdf\"> here<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>On August 17, 2022, the Israeli Military Commander denied the appeals submitted by five of<br \/>\nthe six organizations against the military order designating them unlawful associations,<br \/>\nfollowing which Israel&#8217;s Minister of Defense ratified three of the NGOs as terrorist<br \/>\norganizations. The same evening, the army invaded the offices of the NGOs, confiscated<br \/>\nequipment, and welded the doors shut. This is a prime example of the political persecution<br \/>\nconducted by Israel against Palestinians who speak out against the occupation.<\/p>\n<p>Even after nine European countries who had temporarily ceased their funding of these<br \/>\nNGOs rejected Israel\u2019s claims following the examination of the materials transferred to them<br \/>\nand the EU Commission, Israel continues its persecution campaign. By raiding the offices of<br \/>\nthe human rights organizations and confiscating documents, Israel reconfirms its declaration<br \/>\nwithout any evidence or proof of the serious accusations leveled against the NGOs.<\/p>\n<p>The work of human rights and civil society organizations is a key element in stopping and<br \/>\npreventing human rights abuses, in particular among populations suffering from continuous<br \/>\nand deep harm such as that caused by the Israeli oppressive regime.<\/p>\n<p>Today, as before, we offer our full support to these organizations that contribute to the<br \/>\ndefence of human rights including through legal aid and representation of children and<br \/>\npolitical prisoners in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and condemn any type of<br \/>\ncriminalization and persecution of human rights defenders. We are particularly concerned for<br \/>\nthe safety of human rights activists and employees related to the aforementioned<br \/>\norganizations and expect every effort to be made on behalf of authorities to maintain their<br \/>\nwellbeing. Anti-terrorism laws should never be used to target, criminalize, or incarcerate<br \/>\nhuman rights defenders.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Endorsed by:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>1.
