The Dejusticia fellowship program offers fellows a collaborative and creative space to reflect on various relevant issues to strengthen their work in the struggle for social and environmental justice in the world and to inspire new strategies, approaches and transformative actions.

The program also offers a quiet and safe space to work, and to weave bonds of solidarity and fellowship. To that extent, it is an opportunity for mutual exchange, both so that they can learn about the research-action tools and strategies that we develop in Dejusticia in order to be more effective in the work they do in their home countries, and so that Dejusticia can learn from their experience and that of their organizations.<\/p>\n

The call for applications will be open until May 18, 2023<\/strong><\/a>. Fellowships are generally for a period of three to six months, depending on the availability of the fellow and the host team.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What is Dejusticia?<\/em><\/h2>\n

We are a group of experts based in Bogot\u00e1, known for our leadership in public debates, our research work – often cited by academia and the State – and court cases that have changed the human rights legal order in Colombia and Latin America. We promote positive social change by producing rigorous research and fact-based policy proposals; we conduct effective advocacy or litigation campaigns in the most impactful forums; and we design and deliver training and capacity building programs.<\/p>\n

In Colombia, Dejusticia has been at the forefront of issues such as transitional justice, drug policy, environmental justice, indigenous peoples’ rights, judicial reform, rule of law, anti-corruption, privacy, transparency, socioeconomic justice, and gender equality. At the international level, we have worked on issues related to the climate crisis, indigenous peoples’ rights and ethno-racial equality, reopening space for civil society, migration, global drug policy, business and human rights, privacy and transparency, and ESCR.<\/p>\n
