Ana María holds degrees in law and political science from the Universidad de los Andes, with postgraduate training in international studies and experience in legal research, public policy analysis, human rights, and international humanitarian law. She has served as an advisor in the Directorate of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law at the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where she has worked on inter-institutional and multilateral coordination of agendas related to the protection of children and adolescents in contexts of armed conflict and Colombia’s participation in international human rights forums.
