Administration of the Special Jurisdiction for Peace: comments on the Draft Statutory Law

From Dejusticia we present some points of public interest on this statutory bill. In general, we emphasize the political and legal importance of this draft statutory law. We also propose that Congress’ work in its discussion and approval be guided by four criteria: transformation, clarification, simplification and normative adequacy. And we call attention to include or adjust some parts of the project to strengthen the rights of victims, provide legal security to the JEP rules and give weight to the justice system without unjustified distinctions.
