Sergio is a lawyer from Universidad EAFIT. He was a fellow at the same university. He has worked in human rights, strategic litigation and issues related to territorial entities and decentralization. His areas of interest are constitutional law and legal sociology, particularly on issues such as socio-environmental conflicts, equality, drugs and peace.

Before joining Dejusticia, Sergio was a lawyer for the Colombian Commission of Jurists and the Colombian Association of Capital Cities. He is currently a researcher in the Drug Policy line.
